We maintain an excellent reputation within the industries we serve, with more than 80% of our current business from repeat clients or direct referrals. We are currently seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our team in Cincinnati (Mason), OH.

The ideal candidate will have been trained in mechanical engineering and grounded in classical engineering-related activities through an interest in activities like auto mechanics, machine building, home repair, farm implements, etc. Responsibilities: As a Simulation Engineer you will participate in projects involving failure analysis, design/process optimization, product development, and cost reduction in a broad range of medical, pharmaceutical, and consumer applications.

Responsibilities will include working through all aspects of the product development and engineering process including requirements definition, conceptualization, design, implementation, test, and documentation. This individual must have experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team that may include contracted and vendor resources and experience with formal engineering development processes.

Qualifications:

MS or Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school required  • 7+ years’ experience required • Significant current experience using fundamental engineering mechanics skills • Significant current experience in non-linear computational modeling using Hexagon (MSC’s family of CAE products) for a wide range of applications related to: • Rigid Body Dynamics (ADAMS) • Kinematics (ADAMS) • Implicit and Explicit Finite Element Methods (MARC) • Automation of Computational Modeling • Python scripting for visualization, data analytics and post processing • Must be highly innovative with the ability to work on own initiative • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills • Must have strong problem-solving skills • Must have the ability and desire to be client facing at times • Ability to creatively apply engineering principles and tools • Must be able to work in the USA without sponsorship or need for future sponsorship Additional Preferred Qualifications: • Experience or knowledge of medical device development • Demonstrated knowledge of human anatomy and surgical physiology • Knowledge of and experience with GD&T • Data Analysis experience (Minitab, JMP, R, etc.) • Test Fixture design and development experience • DFM and DFA knowledge and experience • Understanding of materials (polymers, metals, etc.) • Programming experience
