They maintain an excellent reputation within the industries we serve, with more than 80% of our current business from repeat clients or direct referrals. We are currently seeking a Simulation Engineer to join our team in Cincinnati (Mason), OH.
OPPORTUNITY:
As a Senior Development Engineer, you will be responsible for providing leadership to other team members, executing, and managing the development process based on Client’s needs and project ownership when it comes to component cost and timing. Youi will work in a collaborative environment with talented team members to design, prototype, test and launch products as well as equipment into production.
Candidate must be able to work independently as well as with a team, while being able to identify where and when more expertise is needed. The position requires a person with a strong cooperative spirit and ability and willingness to help develop this market service.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Lead cross-functional project team through all phases of the product development process.
– Includes planning and executing elements of projects from concept through launch including initial ramp-up.
-Support and/or lead product changes after launch, based on defined needs of the business and or client.
-Works closely with other members of the team and external suppliers to develop products with a focus on safety, quality, manufacturability, and assembly.
-Provide a high level of subject matter expertise to the organization across multiple fields including plastics, metals, Deign for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA)
-Collaborate with team to develop and execute accurate design product validation test plans.
– Lead aspects of project management including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and contingency planning.
– Responsible for accomplishing working using outside resources (e.g., consultants, contractors, design suppliers) when necessary.
Qualifications:
-BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Engineering Technology with 10+ years of experience or MS in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of experience
-Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industry experience required
– Fundamentals in first principal mechanics knowledge is required
– Excellent organization and project management skills are a must
-Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship or need for future sponsorship
-Ability to travel as it related to Client and project success (<20%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
– Versed in several design software packages, SolidWorks preferred
-Experience in design for and utilizing rapid prototyping
– Experience in leading teams in different technical areas
Data analysis experience preferred (Minitab, JMP, R, Python)
